As reported earlier the highway range in my rig was just over 1200 miles. (it will probably fit an 80 with some mod to the front cross member mounting.)

Had this in my rig for about 9 months then pulled it to sell the 100 in Feb 09. the 100 didnt sell and the tank is still in my garage stored off the ground as you see in the picture.

Greetings,

Megan is officially back in a Sienna.

Details:
1999 Toyota Land Cruiser. UZJ-100 121K miles
asking Price: $16K

She has:
OME 2" lift installed by Master tech Will on the last few days of working as a tech
ARB front bumper with a Warn 8k winch
ARB rear bumper with driver side swing out tire carrier.
Slee Step Sliders
Tires are Bridgestone Revo 285/75R16, with 15-20K miles on them. Spare is new and one of the tires on the rig is newer as Megan lost a tire at the beginning of the summer.
After market bulbs in the headlights, great lights in dim and on bright
Hella Rallye 1000 driving lights
Driving lights purchased at Fleet light.. The rubber housing... no idea on brand.

Issues
"D" light on dash is burned out
Keys aren't in the best shape. The Fobs work, but I would replace them if I were driving it.
Rear locker just blinks when engaged. I don't know what is going on there.
Ding in rear pass quarter panel. A brick fell off my house.. there is a ding.

This is going to be a great rig for someone. I've had more extreme trail rigs over the years so I've never really wheeled it. I think I've taken it on 3 WC runs. My wife has been the primary driver for this car. To say that this rig is mostly highway miles would be an understatement. Another weird thing about this rig is I have not done the maintenance myself. Will or Scott have done most the work on the rig. Another crazy thing- all the oil changes were done by Mark Miller Toyota downtown. It was just always easier to do it that way. The only two things that I can think of that wasn't done by professionals were the recent key tumbler issued (done by my friend Brian who is a mechanic) and I installed the front ARB bumper.

I would consider trades for a DC Tacoma, or ????

Hi everyone. A few weeks ago I installed the OME suspension on my truck. As I was applying the final torque to bolts that secure the lower control arms to the spindle with my cheap, bar-type torque wrench, I began to worry about how inaccurate that particular type of wrench is. Visions of my suspension coming apart at freeway speeds suddenly popped into my head. I worried about it to the point that I felt compelled to recheck the torque on all of the bolts after I drove the truck for a few hundred miles.

Am I making a mountain out of a mole hill here? Are the cheap, bar-type torque wrenches accurate enough for that kind of work or would I be better off spending the cash on one of the click types?

This is my brother's FZJ-80: http://www.ksl.com/index.php?sid=0&n...iew&ad=3044593

It is the Antique Pearl Sage Metallic (did I get it right DMC?) color and is in good shape. The interior is really clean (only real wear is the driver's seat). Driver's power window struggles (not sure if it's contacts or the motor... any suggestions?).

It has the OME J's up front and the heavies or mediums out back. ARB bumper on the front and one of Johnny's rear bumpers. The sliders are welded on (made by Anarchy Off-Road and installed by RockLogic). The diff-locks work perfectly. Tires are 295/75 R16 Nitto Terra-Grapplers that are completely worn (they still drive fine and have gone over 80k miles on this 80 with no uneven wear). We just replaced the u-joints on the drivelines with OEM Toyota u-joints. The 80 will need the front axle seals done in the future (no issues now, just for preventative maintenance). I don't believe the head-gasket has been done on this 80. The PHH has been replaced with the blue one the guy on Ih8mud sells.

Let me know if you have any questions.
