Default Anyone make it to the Autorama?

Any fav's you spied? I know some of you have some cherry Cruisers sitting around, they need to be entered next year please.

There were some pretty amazing rides there. A couple gnaryly Bugs, and some sweet sweet rat rods (two of which my buddies entered).

Just a couple shots of some of the rods.....

His gear shifter is a 357 magnum. The rod welded in the barrel.

Cam Egan and I have been helping my dad and his friends put together this 1932 Steel-body coupe... he took home a bunch of awards... best paint, best motor, best interior (total of 6 awards and some cash to boot).

The motor is a 383 Chevy with twin-turbos and a blower... would make a great crawler motor

We finished it from bare frame and body to finish in about 2 months. There were some cool rides out there. Enjoy the pics.

I had the same look on my face when I saw the motor...

The engine did run but I think the overall purpose was more "shock and awe" than anything else. The chrome was blinding but the real nice part of the vehicle was the paint which honestly was near perfect.

It's hard to be around something with that nice of paint/finish and then go back to our beaters.

Some of those rat-rods like Johnny posted were really cool. There was a Mustang out there from Kindig It Designs that had the coolest color combo ( http://www.kindigit.com/dd.php?gid=19 ).

I'm with Johnny, we need some Cruisers out there next year. Maybe they'd let you put them out front of the Expo Center in the nice little rock garden thing they have going on.

i'd have to see that mustang in person. i just can't get on board with those rims or the interior. the interior looks fantastic and i'm sure the quality was top notch but it doesn't feel right in a mustang. maybe an old aston martin or perhaps a bently but just doesn't feel right in american muscle.

Yeah, it definitely has the "dub" look that I don't like. I just thought the color combo (pearl white/charcoal/saddle) was awesome. There was another hot rod out there (I think it won "Best in State") that had a olive green and saddle combo that was very cool.

The detail these guys put into the customs is crazy. Although my favorite one's out there were an International fire truck that had a Tahoe insignia on the door and a copper 1966 Chevelle
